The Robert Bateman Get to Know Program works with schools across Canada to nurture the innate curiosity of youth about the natural world surrounding them.
While a wealth of information is available in books and on the internet,  the Get to Know Program believes that the most rewarding experiences young Canadians can have with their environment takes place out of doors in nature.

 Every sale of Get to Know products directly contributes to an educational legacy - the Robert Bateman Get to Know Fund - which aims to inform millions of Canadians about the importance of getting to know their neighbours.
In addition to a wildly successful Get to Know Art & Writing Contest, The Robert Bateman Get to Know Fund proudly supports the Get to Know Interactive CD; a virtual and interactive experience through some of Canada’s most beautiful parks and protected areas. As students explore, they will familiarize themselves with a number of native Canadian species that they can then identify during real outdoor experiences. The Get to Know Interactive CD has been designed to form the cornerstone for environmental education in Canada, and will be distributed to schools in Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto, with additional cities to be introduced in 2008.
